Hello from Venice
Richard, Fred and I have been thinking a lot about creativity in the last few weeks.
First, we’re in a city that exemplifies creativity. Whichever way you turn, you are faced with the creative genius of centuries of Venetian craftsmen and artists. Wherever you walk, you are following in the footsteps of the countless writers who have been inspired by this city.
Second, we gave a morning talk on creativity to the participants of our Venice retreat, which launched a rousing discussion on the many different ways we can enhance and draw on our own creativity.
Then, just yesterday, we were invited to speak on the subject at a webinar for the Society of Authors. A number of writers spoke passionately about their process and writing practice, where they draw their inspiration and how they develop their writing muscles.
And we’re still fascinated by the subject.
So, join us (virtually) in Venice to discuss creativity and the writing process. Let’s explore the best ways to harness and make the best of your own creativity.
