You’re Invited: Saturday “Show Don’t Tell” Writing Workshop

In How to write a book, Invitations, Workshops

Show, don’t tell. It’s one of the most oft-repeated pieces of writing advice, yet it is frequently misunderstood. To paraphrase Russian playwright Anton Chekhov, “Don’t tell me the moon is shining; show me the glint of light on broken glass.”

But how exactly do you do that? What does it mean to show, rather than tell? Are there ever exceptions to the rule?

Join us for our monthly virtual Writing Workshop on the morning of Saturday 13 February if you would like to understand more about this crucial aspect of writing.
