Last chance! One spot left on our Creative Writing Course starting 15 March

In How to write a book, Invitations

There is one last place available on our live Creative Writing Course starting on Monday 15 March. You’ll learn in real-time via Zoom on Monday and Thursday evenings for five weeks. We are always fully booked for this course, so sign up as soon as possible.

This is our flagship course, designed to teach all the skills you need to write a book – fiction or non-fiction – and to get you writing confidently in scenes.

Over the past twelve years, over forty books have been published by past participants and a number of them have been nominated for prestigious literary awards.

The course, though, is not only aimed at those who want to publish. Some people take it to enhance their experience of writing for family, and others just to expand their creativity after years of having it stifled by jobs and life.

Alternately you might be interested in the online version of the course, starting on 10 April, which allows you to work at your own speed and at times that suit you through modules that are released to you over ten weeks – part 1 on Monday and part 2 on Wednesday. Take advantage of our early bird special of less 10% if you sign up before midnight on 20 March. Use the coupon code EARLYBIRD10 in our GBP or ZAR online shops.

Either way, you will be in very good hands with your facilitators. Jo-Anne Richards is an internationally published novelist with a PhD in Creative Writing and Richard Beynon a story consultant and an award-winning film and television scriptwriter with a long and accomplished career. Enrol here now!

What will the course give you?

Well, perhaps it would be best to let some of our participants tell you what they got out of it. Here’s a medley of their comments:

“Discovering the Creative Writing Course has been one of the most satisfying landmarks in my life and certainly in my writing journey,” said Clive Goodchild-Brown

Liz Dewing said the course was “A perfect balance of exposition, illustration and exercise at every session. Constructive feedback is evidence of the most extraordinary attentiveness, delivered with care and encouragement. Your tuition has moved my writing and confidence into a different league…”

Ingrid van der Berg began with the Creative Writing Course but has since gone on to tackle a memoir of her life in Italy. “Jo-Anne and Richard have all the answers in their wonderful, warm, nurturing and ‘growing’ writing courses. To me, they couldn’t have thought of a more appropriate name, for they truly are – and offer – all about writing!”
