Josephine Carr qualified as a barrister before moving into journalism and publishing. She wrote columns for the Times and Evening Standard and regular articles for a range of magazines including Eventing magazine. She also worked on a legal series, StreetLegal for Channel 4 with Paul Foot.
She now runs a sheep farm and livery yard in Sussex and devotes her time to writing.
Our Honest Charlie Wood is her first book. It has been very well received, with many readers saying they were unable to put the book down, and she was invited to submit to the William Hill Sports Book of the Year.
