Josephine Carr qualified as a barrister before moving into journalism and publishing. She wrote columns for the Times and Evening Standard and regular articles for a range of magazines including Eventing magazine. She also worked on a legal series, StreetLegal for Channel 4 with Paul Foot.

She now runs a sheep farm and livery yard in Sussex and devotes her time to writing.
